Our damages department provides a wide range of services including, but not limited too:

Loss of earnings and loss of support:
Loss of earnings refers to the financial loss an individual experiences, due to their inability to work and earn because of an injury. Loss of support, on the other hand, is a form of compensation for dependents or family members of a deceased person who provided financial support to them.
Most of our calculations are a result of medical negligence, personal injury, wrongful dismissal, or motor vehicle accidents (MVAs) against the Road Accident Fund (RAF) where special consideration for the RAF cap is applied.

Capitalization of future medical expenses benefits:
When the claimant is involved in a personal injury incident or a medical malpractice incident the claimant may be entitled to claim the future recommended medical treatment in order to place the claimant in a similar physiological position as if the incident had not occurred.

Divorce maintenance:
Divorce is never an easy process, and often the best action is a clean break settling the future maintenance required rather than trying to claim maintenance each month for the remainder of your life. We make sure that your maintenance is quantified with respect to the Maintenance Act 99 of 1998.

Deceased estate maintenance:
Finalising a loved one’s estate can often be complicated and in some cases can lead to disputes among family members. The actuary is here to assist from an unbiased perspective, applying the ruling as per The Maintenance of Surviving Spouse’s act, to ensure that the surviving spouse and her children are financially supported.
